The project aims to strengthen livelihoods for coastal communities in the Kilwa Seascape of Tanzania by establishing Fisheries Replenishment Zones (FRZs) and promoting income-generating activities for 225 women through the CLEAR model. The initiative will help restore local fish stocks, stabilize food security, and support women’s economic empowerment through activities like seaweed farming, savings groups, and business skill development, while protecting vital marine ecosystems.
