Improving Children’s Nutrition

Since 2011, we’ve worked to enhance children’s wellness by improving access to nutritious foods, supporting healthy food education, and building professional development to sustain those changes. 

We provide funding for K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations through programs such as: 

Garden Grants

Through our Garden Grant program, schools turn outdoor spaces into powerful hands-on learning gardens that connect kids with food, spark their curiosity and support classroom curriculum.

In partnership with School Food Matters, the Foundation brings projects such as Schools to Market, School Garden Grants and the Honeybee Programme to schools in the U.K.

Bee Grant

These grant programs allow for schools and non-profit organizations to receive support for educational beehives and bee programming so students can observe bees up close and learn about the vital role these pollinators play in our food system.

School food transformation is not about changing just one thing. It is changing everything—school districts’ entire food programs. Our work advances access to healthy food choices and builds a direct connection between kids and the roots of their food.
