3-year grant of $350,000 to Heifer Guatemala, to support their Green Business Belt Program (GBB), which provides agroforestry input packages to subsistence farmers in culinary spice value chains (primarily cardamom, but also black pepper, allspice, cloves, cinnamon, annatto, and vanilla). WFMF’s funding contribution is for the first link of the value chain, i.e., equipping 1,000 farmers with the seedlings and tools they need to implement sustainable agroforestry plots and increase their incomes.
