Tarisai joins Whole Foods Market Foundation as Program Manager, bringing over 15 years of expertise in sustainability, enterprise development, and impact measurement. With an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand and a B.S. Honors in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe, she leads research initiatives and funding recommendations that strengthen local food systems and economic opportunities.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2025, Tarisai served as Reporting and Analysis Manager for the USAID Africa Trade and Investment Program, where she developed comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks that drove evidence-based decision-making. Her extensive experience working with NGOs, development agencies, and local communities brings valuable perspective to the Foundation's mission of expanding access to fresh, healthy food while creating sustainable livelihoods.

Tarisai's passion for transformative food systems stems from witnessing firsthand how small-scale producers can revolutionize both nutrition and economic opportunities within communities. When not analyzing potential partnerships or conducting field visits, she can be found reading, exploring ocean landscapes, or pursuing her interest in wildlife conservation.
