Geoff Nunez is the Store Team Leader at Whole Foods Market Lamar store in Austin, Texas, where he’s led the team since 2018. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Geoff joined Whole Foods Market in 2007 after a career as a professional chef, having studied at Peter Kump’s Culinary School in New York and cooked in kitchens across the country—from North Carolina to Chicago, New Jersey, and Austin. He started at Whole Foods Market in Prepared Foods, quickly discovering a passion for leadership and eventually stepping into store leadership in 2016.

In his current role, Geoff oversees every aspect of daily store operations—from inventory and merchandising to safety and financial performance. He leads a large, dynamic team, mentoring Team Leaders and empowering store Team Members to maintain high standards for retail execution, customer service, and store appearance. Geoff is hands-on in driving sales, managing expenses, and ensuring the store meets its goals while remaining a positive, team-oriented workplace.  He takes great pride in working for a company that’s changing the way the world thinks about food—how it’s grown, produced, and the impact it has on people and the planet.

Outside of work, Geoff is an avid ultra-endurance runner, passionate gardener, and music lover. He enjoys spending time in his backyard garden, playing guitar, and making memories with his two kids, Olive and Henri.
