As the Senior Vice President of Center Store Merchandising, Dan Epley has responsibility for Grocery, Wellness, Beauty, Lifestyle, Specialty, Adult Beverage, and. Local and Emerging teams at Whole Foods Market. Through his role, Dan celebrates what makes Whole Foods Market special — unique products, industry leading quality standards, mission-aligned suppliers, and talented team members — and pushes company growth by continuing to advance merchandising capabilities and deliver operationally-sound programs.

Dan became SVP in November of 2025, after over 35 years in the industry in roles across merchandising. His experience spans product categories and merchandising disciplines including product selection, supplier partnership, promotional planning, pricing, presentation, and private label brands.

He’s known for brand development, innovative merchandising, strategic negotiations, marketing, process improvement, and sourcing. In his role as SVP, he works to advance Whole Foods Market’s purpose to nourish people and the planet by supporting improved and sustainable agriculture systems.
