Corey Blay serves as Senior Manager leading the Direct Tax function at Whole Foods Market, where he oversees all aspects of federal, state & local, and international tax compliance. He has held this role for the past eight years.

Corey joined Whole Foods Market's Tax Department in 2001 and has served in various roles throughout his career at WFM, progressing from Tax Analyst to his current senior leadership position. His career in tax began at Ernst & Young, where he held roles in both audit and tax practice areas, serving large corporate and partnership clients. He has also been a co-owner of a CPA firm providing tax compliance services for individual and small business clients.

He graduated from Texas State University with a BBA in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.

In his free time, Corey enjoys spending time with his family, cooking good food, and finding new vacation spots to visit with family and friends.
